The School of the Built Environment and Architecture at LSBU has excellent links with industry, commerce and the professions, which together with first class applied research make us exceptionally well equipped to offer our students industry-relevant education.
We seek an innovative and results-oriented professional to contribute to teaching, research, and other academic duties in core Building Services Engineering subjects and Engineering Mathematics.
The successful candidate will be an effective communicator and teacher, committed to collegial practice and to meeting the needs of a diverse student population.
Candidates should ideally have some proven experience of teaching within the UK HE sector and a commitment to maintaining high standards of professional practice and knowledge of the industrial sector.
You will have a Bachelor degree in Engineering, and/or professional work experience in the field of Building Services/Thermofluids Engineering, and/or teaching Building Services/Thermofluids/Engineering Mathematics. A Doctorate in a relevant Engineering discipline is required.
Specialist knowledge and skills, indicative of ability to teach in both specialist and generalist roles across the curriculum in Building Services Engineering is required. You will be required to carry out research and/or consultancy or other professional and scholarly activities in the field of Building Services Engineering.
The post is Permanent, Full Time.
The candidate should have experience in multidisciplinary research teams, including experience working with cross-sectoral industry partners. They should be familiar with suitable software tools and research methods to carry out leading research in the areas of Building Services/Thermofluids/Energy.
