The Hertie School of Governance seeks to fill the following position as of April or May 2019:

Postdoctoral Researcher in European politics (m/f/div)

on a full time basis (40 hours/week)

The initial contract will last until 31.08.2021 with a possible extension of one year at EUI.

Your tasks:

The position is funded by the EU H2020 project “Integrating Diversity in the European Union” (InDivEU), Work Package “Differentiated integration in core state powers”, directed by Markus Jachtenfuchs (Hertie) and Philipp Genschel (EUI). The prospective Postdoc will join the Jacques Delors Institute/Centre for European Affairs at the Hertie School.

  • contribution to project tasks
  • working on a dataset on differentiated integration in core state powers
  • publishing results individually and/or jointly with other project members

Your profile:

  • PhD in Political Science
  • a Background in EU Studies, European politics or political economy
  • strong command of quantitative methods
  • excellent English writing skills
