UCD invites applications for a Permanent Lecturer/Assistant Professor (Above the Bar) in Folklore and Ethnology within UCD School of Irish, Celtic Studies and Folklore.
Candidates should have an established record of expertise in the study of Folklore and Ethnology. They should have completed a PhD in Folklore or a cognate discipline and have experience of teaching at university level. While the position is primarily associated with Irish expressions of vernacular culture, the essentially global nature of Folklore and Ethnology as an academic discipline and its interdisciplinary potential is recognised by the School in its teaching and research activities.
The appointee will be expected to participate effectively in the School’s postgraduate and undergraduate programmes and contribute significantly to the expansion of research in relevant areas.
95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (above the bar) Salary Scale: €52,848 - €83,090 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
