Are you a qualified, experienced teacher or lecturer at FE and HE level with experience in delivering courses in Hospitality and Management?
Do you have a broader experience in the industry, or an interest in engaging with the hospitality community and external organisations in order to provide opportunities for students?
Would you be interested in being part of a pioneering new initiative, ‘Experiential Teaching’, which has the student experience at its heart and is designed to cater specifically to adult learners from diverse backgrounds?
Would you enjoy the challenge of bringing your experience to bear within a unique, vibrant, entrepreneurial College in the City of London?
St. Patrick’s College is on a transformational journey, restructuring its existing 4 schools into two broader, more all-encompassing Departments, in the areas of Health+ and Business+ and overhauling completely the way in which it delivers its programmes to put the student experience front and centre.
We are a widening participation institution, offering a range of programmes aimed at providing students with a route into Higher Education and beyond. Our students embark on a journey which is designed to meet their academic and personal demands. At the very heart of our vision are a student-centered learning and teaching methodology which is progressive, forward-thinking, modern and designed to meet our learners’ needs.
Experiential Teaching Practitioners are modern, progressive professionals who have what it takes to motivate students from a variety of backgrounds, to inspire belief in students who are striving for professional and personal recognition and to drive students towards successful lives.
You will have a distinct skill set; a ‘can-do’ attitude - and should demonstrate the consistent ability to put the core elements of our learning and teaching philosophy into practice, both in the design of experiential teaching activities and in the delivery of high-class teaching.
The underpinning philosophy is as follows:
