This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious graduate with the ability and confidence to manage a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) project with Nuvia.
The University of Manchester and Nuvia are looking to recruit a robotic systems engineer to undertake this 24 month project which has an overall aim of developing, embedding and exploiting advanced autonomous and automated radiation monitoring robotic technology for health physics surveys within the nuclear sector.
The position will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to work with a world leading company and internationally renowned research group in robotics based at The University of Manchester to develop a novel technology for nuclear health physics.
Candidates will require a recently-obtained minimum of a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in Mechatronics/Electrical/Electronic Engineering and a PhD in robotics or related discipline.
This post is funded through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) award, a UK Government scheme intended to promote sustained and mutually beneficial relationships between universities and industry.
Based at Nuvia, Harwell, the successful candidate will work directly with supervisors from both the University and Nuvia and will use the facilities and resources of both organisations
The successful candidate will need to meet all requirements of Security Check clearance within three months
