Research field: 1. Imaging diagnosis of skeletal muscle diseases; 2. In vivo tracking of MSC in the repair of joint injuries

The Fifth Affiliated Hospital is situated in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. Supported by SYSU and the Zhuhai government, it has grown into a famous hospital on the west side of the Pearl River estuary. The hospital boasts a number of key specialties at provincial and municipal levels, and 5 predominant disciplines including medical imaging, infectious diseases, oncology, cardiovascular diseases, and organ transplantation. As a clinical teaching base for high-level medical talents of SYSU, the hospital has a complete medical education and training system, providing 13 doctoral degree programs, 29 master degree programs, and postdoctoral research centres. It also owns a national standardized training base for residents and a Guangdong teacher training base for general medicine.

Currently, the hospital has many major research platforms, including Guangdong Key Laboratory of Biomedical Imaging, Guangdong Engineering Research Centre for Molecular Imaging, Biological Function & Molecular Imaging Platform as well as Infection & Immunization Platform (in preparation). These platforms provide a strong support for high-level medical research. Guangdong Key Laboratory of Biomedical Imaging covers an area of nearly 3,000㎡. It is equipped with many first-class lab rooms for molecular biology, chemical synthesis, single-molecule and single-cell imaging, small animal in vivo imaging, nanomaterial and probes, genomics, proteomics and metabolomics, and bioinformatics. It has undertaken a number of national major projects.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Conducting research in theoretical and practical areas of specialty
  • Proactive in participating major national research projects, striving to achieve key academic achievements
  • Publish the outcomes of research in journals of international standing

  • With a Ph. D obtained ideally within 3 years

Compensation and Benefits:

  • An average annual salary of RMB 220,000-300,000 (pre-tax)

First grade: RMB 300,000, the applicants should have published as the first author at least 1 paper with an IF above 10.0 (10.0 included) or 2 papers with an IF of 5.0-10.0 (10.0 not included);
Second grade: RMB 260,000, the applicants should have published as the first author 1 paper with an IF of 5.0-10.0 (10.0 not included);
Third grade: RMB 220,000, the applicants have published as the first author papers with an IF below 5.0.

  • A total of RMB 25,0000 subsidy provided by Zhuhai Talents Project
