Applications are invited for a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Theoretical Physics post within School of Physics

Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Theoretical Physics in the UCD School of Physics (permanent position). The provisional start date is 1st September 2019.

The appointee is expected to undertake a research programme of international repute in theoretical physics, in the area of theoretical condensed matter physics complementing and broadening existing research in the School. The successful candidate will actively seek funding at national and international levels, show leadership in building their research group, publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, supervise research students in our MSc and PhD programmes, and establish collaborations with research groups in the School of Physics or elsewhere in UCD and beyond. The School particularly welcomes applicants who will be competitive in applying for ERC grants or similar research funding.

95 Lecturer/Assistant Professor (Above the Bar) Salary Scale: €52,848 - €83,090 per annum.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
