This is an exciting time to join us in this unique opportunity to shape the future of Chemistry at one of the oldest and most prestigious Universities in the UK. King’s vision is to create a contemporary department, which realises the transformative power of Chemistry at the interface with Biology and Medicine. A key part of King’s Chemistry ethos is equality, with a new dynamic and fulfilling research culture for all, and an emphasis on tackling the under-representation of women in science.

Chemical Biology is a key strategic area; we particularly encourage applications where core Chemistry is being used to pioneer new directions in (bio)inorganic chemistry or materials, complementing existing strengths within the department and King’s. Located in central London, King’s benefits from the advances in Science, Technology and Enterprise across the capital, including our partnership with the Francis Crick Institute, which will offer tremendous opportunities to understand the physics and chemistry of life.

Candidates are expected to cultivate an international, ground breaking research programme and should have a burgeoning research profile and evidence of curiosity driven and perceptive research. The successful candidate will also contribute to the design and delivery of innovative teaching programmes.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

This is a full-time post.

The selection process will include a presentation and a panel interview.
