Following a review of our support for technology transfer, the University of St Andrews is pleased to announce that we are making a significant investment into new posts in this important area.
We are seeking two exceptional individuals to join our Knowledge Transfer Centre, based within Research & Innovation Services, as Commercialisation Managers. The primary aim of these posts is to support the successful commercialisation of university generated knowledge. The post-holders will report to the Head of Technology Transfer and will play a key role in ensuring a strategic approach to technology transfer by the University.
Within the last year the University has increased the level of investment into research and innovation support for our academic researchers, creation of these posts is part of this initiative. We are interested in well-motivated individuals with a passion to make a difference who have a keen interest in the commercialisation of excellent international research and innovation.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) preferably in a science-based discipline. You will have direct experience of working to commercialise intellectual property. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be comfortable working with colleagues at all levels and be fully computer literate.

In 2019 the University will establish purpose-built office accommodation at Eden Campus, Guardbridge by St Andrews, to provide a state of the art working environment for a number of our Professional Services Units. It is anticipated that up to 450 Professional Services staff from a range of Units will be based in the new development at Guardbridge.
These posts will be primarily based at the Eden Campus at Guardbridge.
