£17,079 - £18,688 per annum pro-rata. Potential to progress to £19,730 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.
We are seeking customer-focused individuals with the ability to quickly build and maintain excellent working relationships to join our friendly Campus Services team in both full-time and part-time roles.
Reporting directly to the Security Management team, you will undertake a wide variety of tasks based around the University Campus to ensure safe car parking and traffic management on a day to day basis. Working outdoors, you will be responsible for the patrolling of University car parks and pedestrianised areas on an area rotation basis checking vehicles for correct, safe parking and valid permits and dealing with traffic infringements. You will deal proportionately with offending vehicles, using penalty charge notices (PCN) when necessary. You will use a handheld computer device to obtain information and print warnings and PCN’s, photograph offending vehicles and gather necessary evidence relating to parking infringements.
A significant element of the role is to move around the University campus on foot, and at all times of the year, however there will be times when you will need to move across working locations by University vehicle, and as such applicants must hold a full valid UK driving license.
This is a highly customer focused role and you will be need to be able to provide a high standard of professional service to a wide range of customers. The University is a fast paced and changeable environment, and as such you will need to be able to adopt a flexible approach, be self-motivated and capable of planning and organising your time effectively. Previous relevant experience in a customer service role is essential as is the need to be IT literate. You will need to work without close supervision on a day to day basis. We will provide you with a comprehensive induction and any required on-the-job training’
The role requires flexibility with a regular rotating shift pattern and when a business need exists, the potential for additional hours outside regular shift patterns.
