The Institute of Digital Technologies at Loughborough University London aims to address major technological challenges by offering exciting PhD opportunities. One of the key challenges is how to apply advanced machine learning techniques to the sensed multi-modal data through various types of IoTs to understand the behaviours of ‘human-human’, ‘human-machine’, and ‘machine-machine’ interactions.
The projects expect to make strides towards understanding and applying the AI technology to the real-world problem by investigating machine and deep learning algorithms on realistic and consumer based IoT scenarios to model the used systems with reliability, accuracy, effectiveness, scalability, transferability and robustness.
