The Estates & Facilities department of Birmingham City University seeks to recruit a suitably experienced and qualified person to undertake the role of Project Manager to deliver a range of major capital development projects for the continuing investment through the Estates Strategy. The role will include acting as Employers Agent and lead Project Manager in the delivery of schemes in accordance with the associated Project Execution Plans.
The Project Manager will take a pivotal role in coordinating project delivery between internal and external stakeholders including consultant designers and principle contractors. They will work with the Capital Development Team and wider Estates and Facilities Department in order to ensure successful delivery of a wide range of schemes from around £100k to £50m.
The post involves regular contact with members of staff, students, consultants, local authorities, agencies, suppliers, and contractors. The successful candidate will have a degree alongside suitable experience in all aspects of project management and possess excellent communication, IT skills and with, or working towards, membership of a relevant professional body.
