The Institute of Cancer Research, London, is one of the world’s most influential cancer research institutes. We provided the first convincing evidence that DNA damage is the basic cause of cancer, laying the foundation for the now universally accepted idea that cancer is a genetic disease. Today, we lead the world at isolating cancer-related genes and discovering new targeted drugs for personalised cancer treatment.

The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) is ranked as the UK’s top academic research centre. We are also one of the most successful institutions in the UK at commercially developing our research findings. Together with our partner The Royal Marsden, we are rated in the top four cancer centres globally.

The ICR is committed to attracting, developing and retaining the best minds in the world to join us in our mission – to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.

A position is available for an experienced Science Project Manager to coordinate the operational, financial and administrative aspects of scientific projects undertaken with a commercial partner.  The portfolio includes targets across the research lifecycle including some that are in the early stages, as well as ones that are very close to the clinic. This post will play a key role supporting our bench-to-bedside drug discovery strategy, and is critical to ensure projects and operations are effectively managed with timely delivery of key objectives.

Starting salary in the region of £37,709 to £44,645 pa inclusive (based on previous experience). Appointment will be for 24 months in the first instance. Further information can be found in the full job description.

We consider all applications on merit and have a strong commitment to enhancing the diversity of our staff.
