Full Time/FTC for 12 months

The School of Psychology aims to recruit a full-time Lecturer for a one-year fixed term contract who will contribute to the Doctorate in Forensic Psychology Practice and the forensic component of the Masters of Science (MSci) in Psychology and Psychological Practice delivered within the Centre for Applied Psychology. The Centre for Applied Psychology is a growing and vibrant Centre within the School of Psychology which delivers the School’s suite of professional programmes as well as applied research, impact and consultancy. It is home to 30 applied psychologists, 24 of whom are HCPC-registered practitioner psychologists. The Centre therefore provides excellent systems for support and development for the successful candidate:

The successful candidate will take responsibility for developing and delivering specific teaching modules within the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, delivering teaching in their areas of speciality.  They will visit placements and assess students’/trainees’ practice assignments, they will supervise research, assess academic progress of our students, and contribute to the management, leadership and enterprise activities of the school as appropriate.

The successful candidate will be a HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist who is a forensic psychologist or a clinical psychologist with forensic experience. They will have experience of teaching/training others in forensic or forensic/clinical psychology, and skills and experience of working in a forensic setting.
