A little bit about the role:
Your prime role is to support the Associate Dean/HOD with academic leadership in the effective running of the Business and Management faculty and staff at the Campus. The Deputy Head of Department will contribute to the successful running of the campus and will lead and manage the Business and Management faculty/department staff in conjunction with university partner needs and QA’s internal requirements. The Deputy Head of Department will provide leadership in academic affairs relating to the campus in promoting continuous improvement in student performance and retention, and quality enhancement within teaching and learning for all students.
The role involves working closely with the Associate Dean / HOD in resolving academic related issues that may arise in conjunction with the partner and ensuring adherence to the regulations and procedures of the relevant partner university along with QAHE faculty and boards. As Deputy Head of a department, you will lead, manage and develop a department of staff to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities, supported by the Associate Dean, and by colleagues from within the department, faculty, and central services.
