We are seeking to appoint a Principal Lecturer (Academic) or Principal Lecturer (Teaching) in Criminology with teaching and/or professional practice experience in any area of Criminology.
The successful applicant will be appointed to the substantive post of Principal Lecturer (Academic) or Principal Lecturer (Teaching) and will be allocated the role of Head of Department on a 0.5FTE basis (3-years in the first instance). Part of the role will involve the successful applicant acting as a course leader in Criminology, and as a personal academic tutor (PAT), and research project supervisor. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from applicants with course leader and/or line management experience.

Violence prevention, Forensic Psychology and Criminology have a long-standing tradition at the University, and interdisciplinarity lies at the heart of our newest department. We are looking to appoint an ambitious Criminologist who can provide strong leadership to Department staff and courses in Criminology, whilst working as an active member of the School Management Team to deliver the School strategic and operational delivery plan.
