Combining a teaching role with postgraduate research, this PGTA position is an exciting opportunity to complete a PhD under the supervision of Loughborough University's expert staff while gaining invaluable experience in the delivery of learning and teaching.
This PGTA position sits within the School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University and will support the teaching of a range of undergraduate modules in Accounting and Finance. Teaching roles will include:
Candidates should have a strong, relevant, educational background, excellent communication skills and experience of undertaking a research project.
The PhD topic must fall within the Accounting and Finance Discipline Group's research themes: Corporate Finance, Financial Markets, Financial and Management Accounting, and Corporate Governance and Sustainability. Studentship tuition fees will be paid by the University but no additional studentship stipend will be paid as this position will attract a full-time 'Specialist & Supporting Academic' Grade 5 salary (GBP 25,217 - GBP 30,046 per annum).
Progression opportunities exist within the post as there is the potential to progress to SSA Grade 6 on gaining Associate Fellow status of the Higher Education Academy (or other such body), and meeting additional criteria after two years of employment.
