An opportunity has arisen to work in the IT Services department as a member of the Helpdesk Team with 1st level responsibilities. The post holder will be responsible for providing IT computing support to staff at both our sites and to remote workers.
As a 1st Level Helpdesk support engineer you will bring the relevant experience and be able to provide technical support to users across the institute. You will also provide support to other members of the team and should be familiar with the latest developments regarding Windows Operating Systems, Apple iOS and Office 365.
The successful candidate will have a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, have confident communication skills at all levels using various methods such as face to face, by email and telephone. You will also need to be a proactive problem solver at anticipating potential issues within a technical support environment.
The role will report to the Head of IT and will be part of a team dedicated to providing first class support to its user community.
This is a full-time position, with an initial fixed-term contract of 6 months with a salary in the range of £18,841 to £20,807 per annum.
