Candidates must have a PhD degree in a relevant discipline. Excellent research skills ideally supported by an established track record of high-quality research outputs are required and the ability to attract funding for major research projects is a distinct advantage. Experience of teaching and tutorial work in relevant subjects at undergraduate and postgraduate level in an international English-speaking institution is also essential.

The successful candidates will be expected to deliver lectures and seminars across all years of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; to supervise undergraduate, masters and potentially doctoral dissertations. In addition, there are excellent opportunities for research, and the persons appointed will be expected to develop their own research activities and to contribute to the research activities of the School.

Salary will be within the range of 36,261- 48,677 per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The post will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of 3 years starting February 2020. This contract may be extended by mutual agreement.
