The post-holder will contribute to a Scottish Enterprise-funded project on development of peptide-based biopesticides working with Professors Shireen Davies, Julian Dow and Rob Liskamp. Specifically, the job requires expert knowledge in peptide and peptide mimetic synthesis, purification and characterisation.
The post-holder will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of reports, data sheets, contribute to workflow management, research publications and research proposals as appropriate

Salary will be on the University’s Research and Teaching Grade, level 6, £29,176 - £32,817 per annum.
This post is fixed term for 6 months.
New entrants to the University will be required to serve a probationary period of 6 months.
The successful applicant will be eligible to join the Universities' Superannuation Scheme. Further information regarding the scheme is available from the Superannuation Officer, who is also prepared to advise on questions relating to the transfer of Superannuation benefits.
