Murray Edwards College invites applications for a fixed-term (three years) College Lectureship in Computer Science from 1 October 2020.  The person appointed will be elected to an Official Fellowship of Murray Edwards College for this period.

The post holder will be expected to supervise for nine hours a week for the twenty teaching weeks of the academic year, including directing studies for students taking Computer Science and providing supervision in Maths for Natural Science students in Murray Edwards College. 

The post also includes other activities aimed at promoting women’s participation and achievement in Computer Science.  The successful applicant will have a genuine interest in and commitment to developing the role of women in Computer Science, and an interest in establishing innovative, evidence-based programmes that will target women at all levels (school and college, University and beyond). In addition, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the potential to be a strong role model to female computer scientists.

The appointment will be made within the range determined by Spine Point 47 and Spine Point 49 of the University scale (currently £39,152 to £41,526) depending on experience.
