The UCL Institute of Finance and Technology (IFT) is the new UCL Institute dedicated to finance. The IFT is committed to becoming a hub for the highest level of excellence in research, and for its creative and innovative approach to the education of financial students, and will provide leadership and training for future financial and business leaders by enabling close collaboration between cutting-edge applied research, financial innovation, industry and government.
We are seeking to appoint 2 Teaching Fellows with the primary aim of supervising MSc Banking & Digital Finance dissertations. The MSc Banking and Digital Finance programme is running for the first time this year and the successful candidates will have an exciting opportunity to contribute to the shape of the Dissertation module; designing and delivering relevant support tutorials and teaching materials, developing industry links and relationships, and reviewing the successes and suggested improvements for future deliveries.
At the core of our programmes is the strengthening of links between industry, research and academia – and we will look to incorporate this ethos firmly in the Dissertation module.
Other responsibilities may include input into teaching and assessment elsewhere on the MSc and contributions to the development of new short courses and teaching programmes.
Both positions will be fixed term for a period of six months.
The ideal candidate will have teaching and supervision experience and should be enthused by the idea of working at the interface between university and industry in developing teaching initiatives that provide an excellent learning experience for our students, reflect industry practice, and drive innovation in pedagogy and design. We are looking for someone who is passionate about banking and digital finance and able to communicate this to our students and staff.
