About the role

We are looking for a vacuum process technician to work within our processing facility to carry out reliable and reproducible cleaning of components. To achieve the demanding specifications required in a particle accelerator it is crucial that the vessels and components are cleaned to a high standard. It will be your role to carry out the stringent cleaning process to meet these specifications. The role will require attention to detail, being able to repeat processes to a very high standard and meticulous recording of data as part of an ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team of vacuum technicians, vacuum engineers and vacuum scientists to support operation and maintenance of vacuum equipment
  • Work safely and enforce established safety measures in the labs on a day-to-day basis
  • Work within and contribute to the ISO9001 quality system, using computerised systems for data collection, recording and analysis
  • Inspection and processing of vacuum components through a multistage processing system, repeatedly following described cleaning processes without deviation.

About you

You will have a good ‘hands on’ practical aptitude with an ability to systematically follow processes time and time again to achieve a high level of quality.  You will have a proactive approach in maintenance and day to day housekeeping along with experience in planning and scheduling tasks/activities.

It is desirable that you have experience in working in ISO 9001 Quality system, along with training/Experience in vacuum technology.
