The School of Computer Science and Informatics is based within the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Media. It offers a wide range of courses to undergraduates and postgraduates in line with emergent demand and the nature of these fast-moving, competitive disciplines. Due in the first place to the international nature and high influence of the school’s academic research, Computer Science at DMU is ranked 201/500 in the Shanghai Ranking of Universities and in position 201-250 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The Cyber Technology Institute (CTI, www.dmu.ac.uk/cti) was recognised by EPSRC and NCSC as an Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research (ACE-CSR) in 2019.
We are looking for a talented academic to join the School of Computer Science and Informatics as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to contribute to teaching in Computer Science and Software Engineering: undergraduate, postgraduate, apprenticeships, and professional development; research within the Software Technology Research Laboratory (part of the Cyber Technology Institute (ACE-CSR)) or the CTI itself and programme and curriculum management and development.
You will contribute to the School's taught provision and research in the Computer Science area. We have a particular preference for candidates who can contribute in the areas of Software Engineering, Data Structures and Algorithms, Distributed and Concurrent Systems. You will also be expected to contribute to the CTI’s wider research and innovation agenda.
