The Mathematics/Mathematical Physics group of the University of Hertfordshire invites applications for a PhD position starting in January 2021

The closing date for applications is 1st September 2020.

The position is open to all UK/EU candidates and is fully funded for 3.5 years, to start in January 2021. The successful candidate will join the Mathematics/Mathematical Physics group consisting of permanent staff members: Catarina Carvalho, Livia Ferro, Tomasz Lukowski, Vidas Regelskis, Yann Peresse, Ole Steuernagel, Charles Strickland-Constable, and Charles Young. Subject areas covered by our group are topological algebra, quantum groups and representation theory, classical and quantum integrable models, supergravity and generalised geometry, scattering amplitudes in gauge theories, and related topics.
