Job description
We have a great opportunity based at our Shuttleworth campus for a Technician in Agriculture to become a key member of our Land and Environment department.

As a Technician in Agriculture, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

Contributing to the day to day running of Kingshill Farm, a mixed arable and livestock farm. Overseeing all practical areas across the Agriculture provision including livestock, crops and machinery, taking an active role in promoting health & safety Providing technical support to teaching staff during practical sessions in machinery workshops, at the farm, in classrooms and in practical working areas.  

Our ideal candidates will have successful recent practical experience in vocational area (agriculture), knowledge of machinery, tool use and general land based activities and knowledge of current industry practices, alongside the following qualifications:

Level 3 qualification in Agriculture or Land based Studies English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent Willingness to undertake additional training

Contract Type –Bedford College Professional Services Ltd (BCPS Ltd)

40 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year
25 days holiday per annum
