In an increasingly competitive and crowded market, the company has observed current trends and identified a unique and distinctive product that could potentially disrupt and revolutionise current methods.

Bloor and Co. Ltd., in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University, are seeking to recruit a high calibre post graduate software engineer. Your will be responsible for designing, developing and deploying an innovative on-line property sales service, using machine learning techniques. The new service is a major strategic venture for the company and is one capable of transforming the on-line domestic property market.

You will have a masters degree in Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a relevant discipline and good knowledge of the domestic housing operations and online services in the sector. A PhD in Software Engineering and AI (or equivalent experience) is desirable.

You must be self-motivated, have excellent communication and report writing skills and be able to work effectively on your own and as part of a team. You must have experience in at least one of the following

  • Commercial software development experience
  • Experience of agile development
  • Experience of software project management
  • Knowledge of user centred system design
  • Experience of e-commerce solutions and cross selling solutions
  • Experience of recommender systems
