Salary: The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be Grade 7 £36,028 -£43,533 per annum; Grade 8 £44,737 - £52,764 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

The Wellcome/EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS) at UCL invites applications for a Research Fellow position to underpin our activities in the area of flexible electronics and wirelesss sensing technologies.

The Research Fellow will work in a centre platform focussing on microelectronics in order to help develop new generation of sensing, imaging and robotics technologies for surgical interventions.

The emphasis of WEISS is on clinical translation, with the microelectronics platform concentrating on the aspects of electronics engineering, microfabrication, signal processing and wireless technologies. Previous experiences with flexible electronics circuit design, fabrication, wireless platform development etc. will be especially welcome.

The posts will be funded for 18 months in the first instance with a potential for extension subject to progress.

 Key requirements for this are as follows:

Excellent track record of research in the broad area of flexible electronics and wireless sensing

Expertise in flexible electronics and wireless sensing

 Excellent communication skills
