An indicative roadmap of programmes and projects has been defined for the duration of the strategy. These include a new student portal and mobile app, data centre migration, telecommunication replacement, Office 365, Curriculum Management and many more transformational initiatives.
As Deputy Director and Head of IT Services, you will lead the implementation of digital strategy projects and support the University’s overall strategic vision as well as the delivery of agile, customer focused efficient IT services.
You will assist the Director of Digital Information in the management, development and financial control of central IT services at the University, to ensure they are leading the way in reputation and results. Furthermore, you will provide strategic management and planning for the IT service within the framework provided by the University’s strategic plan.
In addition, you will provide expert advice and leadership to the University on IT and digital strategy, as well as providing direction and management to a large-scale IT services department. You will lead the implementation of digital strategy projects part of the seven-year digital strategy programme, with a particular focus on emerging technologies and trends, whilst supporting wider business needs in order to achieve the desired results.
Finally, you will be responsible for the planning, procurement, design, implementation, transition and support of the University’s IT and communication systems in respect of availability, continuity, reliability, security, resilience whilst ensuring that they are fit for purpose. You will also support the Director of Digital Information in developing and implementing Enterprise Architecture across this complex and dynamic organisation.
