1. About the School:
The School of Geospatial Engineering and Science (SGES) is located in one of the most beautiful coastal cities in China: Zhuhai. This city has a strategic location at the Greater Bay Area, within one hour by train from the cities of Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macau. The SGES focuses on research topics related to remote sensing and navigation, working closely with the National Supercomputer Center in Guangzhou, the Chinese Icebreaking Research Vessels, and the Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory in Zhuhai. Under such joint opportunity, the SGES offers an exciting environment to outstanding scientists around the world to focus on multiple research topics, such as the development of space-based Earth observation systems for global change monitoring; the creation of national space-borne remote sensing application platforms; the strengthening of satellite-based monitoring systems for ecosystem and natural resources at the Greater Bay Area; and the industrialization of the BeiDou navigation system. The SGES strives to be a leading research institute worldwide, nurturing and training talents in field of geospatial research coming from all over the world.

3. Qualifications
Should have an education background as an undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate student in a well-known domestic or international university, scientific research institute, or higher education institute with the discipline as the preponderant discipline in the field and has obtained a PhD degree; has obtained comparatively good research results; and has great development potentials. Obtained a PhD degree within three years.
4. Remunerations and Benefits
I. Salary and Benefits: The University provides generous salary, research start-up fee, talent allowance, and settlement allowance. Talents working in Zhuhai and Shenzhen campuses can enjoy subsidies of the local campuses.
II. Housing Support: Talents can apply for the university's public rental housing. There are 1,200 new apartments in the Guangzhou campus; more than 1,000 new apartments and 1,500 new shared property houses in the Zhuhai campus; and 3,600 new talent indemnificatory apartments in the Shenzhen campus.
III. Quality Healthcare: There are 10 SYSU affiliated hospitals that provide high-level healthcare service.

Recruitment Agenda: The School Interview can be set by the School Committee anytime. The University Interview is held once per month for the Hundred Talents Program, but for postdoc/researcher positions, it will be held 2-4 times per month.
