We seek a Lecturer with expertise in sound recording, music production and digital signal processing. The post is offered on a full-time open contract basis, and includes teaching, research and administration. You will have a research specialism that complements our strengths in audio engineering, sound recording and production, and expertise that ideally allows us to develop our teaching (and potentially research) in the area of popular music and popular music production.
You will lead our MA in Music Production or BA Music and Sound Recording and contribute to both programmes. You will supervise individual undergraduates, MA students and PhD students. Your administrative duties will involve participation in the departmental Board of Studies and committees related to teaching, research and/or technology, as well as activities related to student recruitment, pastoral care and public outreach. You will undertake a programme of independent research that complements the work of our Music, Science and Technology Research Cluster, includes major grant applications and leads to high-quality outputs suitable for inclusion in the Department’s submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
We recognise the many benefits of a diverse workforce and are committed to ensuring an inclusive place to work, live and study. We particularly encourage applications from women and members of minority groups, who are underrepresented across the Department as a whole.
