Job summary

As a Lecturer in Marketing, you will make a substantial contribution to the management, development and delivery of teaching and assessment of marketing-related modules, whilst enhancing student experience and employability. You will also supervise marketing dissertations at both undergraduate and postgraduate taught levels. Through excellent teaching you will inspire students, be informed by discipline-based research as well as contribute to management and administration in Dubai. We are looking for candidates with teaching experience in any of the following areas of marketing: marketing management, marketing communications, consumer behaviour, services marketing, retail strategy, marketing and new technology, and strategic brand management.

Person Specification

You will:

• Normally, hold a higher Degree (usually PhD) in a relevant subject area or a closely related discipline or equivalent qualifications. 
• Be able to demonstrate extensive teaching experience and scholarship within subject specialism. 
• Have extensive experience and be able to demonstrate success in developing appropriate approaches to learning and teaching and advising colleagues. 
• Have the understanding and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes.

•    Ability to design, deliver, assess and revise teaching programmes. 
•    Extensive experience and demonstrated success in developing appropriate approaches to learning and teaching and advising colleagues 
•    Experience and achievement in knowledge transfer, enterprise and similar activity that enhances the student experience or employability

Management Administration
•    Ability to contribute to School/Departmental management processes
•    Ability to assess and organise resources effectively
•    Understanding of and ability to contribute to broader management/administration processes.
•    Experience of championing Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in own work area. 
•    Ability to monitor and evaluate the extent to which equality and diversity legislation, policies, procedures are applied. 
•    Ability to identify issues with the potential to impact on protected groups and take appropriate action
