PhD scholarship in Modular Manufacturing Plant Design
We are searching for a strong PhD candidate within the area of modular manufacturing plant design. You will have a unique opportunity to work and do research in a strong collaboration between Rockwool and the Technical University of Denmark. The PhD project will address a number of very business critical areas such as reducing time to build new plants, expand capacity of existing plants, increase efficiency, and develop manufacturing flexibility such as incorporation of recyclable materials, new heating technologies and new product variants.
The position will give you an exceptional opportunity to work both practically and theoretically in such a way that you will see concrete solutions being implemented in Rockwool. The PhD project is part of the Made research programme made.dk.
Responsibilities and qualifications
You must have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree.
Approval and Enrolment
The scholarship for the PhD degree is subject to academic approval, and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU. For information about our enrolment requirements and the general planning of the PhD study programme, please see the DTU PhD Guide.
The assessment will be made by Professor Niels Henrik Mortensen, DTU, Department of Mechanical Engineering.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 3 years.
