Offering a full range of courses from evening classes and short courses through undergraduate degrees to Masters and PhD, the College comprises three departments:

  • The Department of Arts in Health and Education (based at no. 46 Grand Parade)
  • The Department of Fine Art and Applied Art (based in Sharman Crawford Street)
  • The Department of Media Communications (based on the Bishopstown campus and in the Envision Centre, Sober Lane)

The position of Head of MTU Crawford College of Art & Design (CCAD) is a permanent Senior Lecturer Grade III post within Munster Technological University (MTU).

Qualification Requirements for role:

Minimum Qualifications

To be deemed qualified for this post an applicant must have:

  • a relevant primary honours degree with First or Second-Class Honours from a recognised degree awarding authority or equivalent relevant professional qualification obtained through examination;
  • proven, appropriate post qualification experience.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to the minimum requirements outlined above it is desirable that

applicants will have:

  • a post graduate qualification at Doctorate Level;
  • Experience of management in higher education and/or art and design education as well as organisational, leadership, strategic planning and communication skills and experience

NOTE:

In addition to the minimum qualifications, it may be necessary to introduce further shortlisting criteria. Therefore, applicants may be shortlisted on the basis of qualifications and suitable experience, based on details given in the application form. Applicants should note that they may be called for more than one interview.

Salary Scale:

€86,829.00 to €110,921.00 per annum.
