The Research Office are looking for two enthusiastic Research Development Advisors to join the Research Development group for the Clinical Medicine team.
As a member of the Research Office team, you will work alongside departments and academics, other Research Development posts and Research Operations staff to pro-actively facilitate, cost, draft and submit research grant applications.
You will provide proactive research support across the University to drive high quality funding applications. To have a lead role in providing advice on and supporting the preparation and costing of research bids; identify and help mitigate risk and submit research grants to funders and liaison with external parties as appropriate.
You will assist the Research Development Manager with the delivery of a staff development programme, supporting training for both departmental and research office staff, and supporting research strategy planning for departments.
You will be have a strong interpersonal and financial awareness. Having knowledge and experience of research support activities in Higher Education is essential alongside background in research funding or grants administration. You would need to be able to work independently and ability to prioritise workloads as well as managing conflicting deadlines. A degree level and project management experience are desirable.
