The Role
We seek to appoint an Hourly Paid Lecturer (HPL) in Computer Science with specialisms in cyber security and digital forensics. The successful candidate should have the ability to motivate and support our students in realising their potential and be able to demonstrate high-quality, student-centred innovative teaching practices on our BSc Cyber Security and Digital Forensics course.

The Person
The successful candidate will have general or specialised professional knowledge and skillsets in cyber security, including practical Python and Kali Linux skills, combined with very good problem-solving abilities. They will be ready to adopt and practice innovative pedagogic methods, demonstrating excellence in the delivery of teaching. The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Masters level qualification in a relevant discipline.

Further Information
Standard Kingston rates of pay apply and currently start at: £20.70 (including London Weighting, not including holiday pay) for both teaching and non-teaching hours. One lecturing hour includes preparation, delivery, follow up and related administration and attracts a multiplier of 2.25 increasing the hourly rate to £46.58. Non-teaching hours include tutorials, meetings, induction and invigilation.

Hourly Paid Lecturers are not expected to exceed an average of eight hours per week, over the duration of their contract.

This is a fractional appointment for 12 months.
