WMG is a vibrant, cutting-edge research institution at the University of Warwick, providing research, education and knowledge transfer in engineering, manufacturing and technology. We currently have a vacancy for a Project Engineer to support research undertaken by the battery instrumentation team at WMG.

The role involves working with the Project Manager and the Principal Investigator in developing and delivering a programme of practical benefits to partners.

Opportunities exist to engage with multinational organisations and SMEs through Catapult, as well as support the education and training of graduate engineers and post-graduate researchers. The battery instrumentation team comprises of academics, researchers and post-graduate students.

You will need to hold a degree / HND qualification in an engineering related discipline, and have relevant experience in electronics, instrumentation and / or electrochemical engineering; experimental design, data analysis and interpretation, battery testing / precision engineering, manufacturing, automation and process control and validation. You will need an understanding of manufacturing quality, process design and automation, ideally within the context of electronics, instrumentation or energy storage. You will also need a good knowledge of health and safety requirements for electrochemical storage devices. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a range of research and project planning skills.
