Applications are invited for Medical Education Fellow position at Brunel Medical School. The post holder will be an individual from any clinical discipline who is a fully registered medical practitioner and who has a keen interest in medical education. You should normally be in speciality training with a national training number, within 3 to 4 years of graduation, although other applicants may be considered. The post is for a period of one year, either as an out-of-programme experience or stand-alone experience.
Brunel University London has established a new medical school and is currently preparing for its first intake of MBBS students in September 2022. These Medical Education Fellow positions represent an excellent opportunity to be part of the team developing an innovative MBBS programme in London.
The Brunel Medical School programme will have a number of distinctive features, including team-based learning, interprofessional learning and early exposure to patients in community settings. A range of digital technologies will be used to enhance the student experience.
You will be expected to work collaboratively to support the design, development and review of curriculum and assessment materials. The main focus will be Years 1 and 2 of the MBBS. Successful applicants will join an established team of fellows within the Curriculum Development Team overseen by the Head of Curriculum Development.
This position is intended for suitably qualified clinician who wish to spend a year contributing to an exciting medical education project, and are primarily in the early stages of their clinical career (between FY2 and ST3). Whilst this position will not involve face-to-face teaching, the experience gained will complement any medical education portfolio.
