We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Assistant to join the Target Discovery Institute.

You will work with the research groups of Professor Sir A McMichael and Associate Professor G Gillespie to identify HLA-E restricted Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)-derived epitopes and to isolate and characterise HLA-E restricted T cell responses directed against these antigens. 

It is essential that you hold a PhD/DPhil in a relevant discipline. A research background in Immunology is required. Experience in the culture and cloning of CD8 T cells and with T cell immunoassays including ELISpot assays and intracellular cytokine staining is essential. The use of retrovirus transduction/expression systems is desirable, and a background in basic molecular biology techniques including PCR, cloning and sequencing is required.  You will manage your own academic research and administrative activities. If necessary, you will supervise and train junior staff in laboratory techniques and protocols.
