An exciting opportunity has become available to work on a 24-month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between the University of Exeter and SMART Manufacturing Ltd. The KTP will deliver and embed a new Multidisciplinary Design Optimisation (MDO) framework, that will help the company to optimise competing requirements in the design and delivery of complex, bespoke manufacturing machinery arising through the use of different tools such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and production planning software.
The successful candidate will be employed by the University of Exeter and will be based at SMART’s premises in Bideford, North Devon.
SMART design, manufacture, and supply high quality precision machined manufacturing equipment for global customers in the filtration, food and pharmaceutical industries.
