We currently have a new opportunity for a School Lead for Simulation to join our dynamic team and drive the development of simulation within the School of Health Sciences.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the expanding School of Health Sciences. Following a significant expansion in 2017 the School has over 3500 students on full and part-time courses across the Allied Health Professions, Public Health, Life Sciences and Sports and Exercise Sciences. As we plan for our next phase of academic development, we are seeking an exceptional candidate to join us as School Lead for Simulation to work closely with the Head of School and the School Management Team. As a key member of the School leadership team, you will be responsible for providing the strategic leadership to develop the simulation provision within the School, thus making a significant contribution to the student experience and ensuring preparedness for practice. This will include the opportunity to lead and shape the School simulation strategy and embed this within all courses as part of the School's preparation for our upcoming periodic review.

As the School Simulation Lead you will be expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the delivery of high quality simulation activity and the regulatory frameworks within which both Higher Education and pre-registration healthcare courses operate. You will have had appropriate experience of working in academic role within a discipline related to the Allied Health Professions and will have experience of leadership within Higher Education. You will have success in leading teams and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills that will enable you to support teams in the drive for excellence in simulation education. Ideally, you should have or be working towards a PhD/Doctorate and will be able to demonstrate the capacity to make a valuable contribution to the academic discipline(s) within the School.
