The Department of Economics is recruiting for a Programmes Administrator to support the Postgraduate Office. The Postgraduate Office is a busy, thriving area with lots of both face-to-face and online contact with a diverse range of students and staff.
This post will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support for postgraduate teaching with a particular emphasis on supporting the Economics Admissions Tutors with postgraduate student admissions.
You will be educated to A Level standard or equivalent, with relevant experience in a student administration role in the higher education sector. You will be a highly organised person with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, combined with the ability to build and manage effective relationships, with both staff and students, and with central departments within the University are critical for this role.
You should have a high degree of computer literacy, including familiarity with the MS Office suite and have a knowledge of student teaching and learning systems.
