The Fundraising and Supporter Development (F&SD) Office provides a single fundraising function for King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation and King’s Health Partners, working closely with the Maudsley Charity.
Our passion and fundraising expertise help the university and our health partners to confront some of the most pressing global challenges in health and society. Philanthropy plays a huge part in driving this change. Our ambition is to make a difference to societies worldwide, making them healthier, wiser, safer, fairer, and more just.
The Trusts and Foundations team plays a vital role within the F&SD office, securing grants from charitable trusts and foundations in the UK and overseas. We seek to create meaningful funding relationships between these grant-makers and a broad array of priority projects across King’s College London and King’s Health Partners. The work we support has made a significant impact on the world in areas as diverse as cancer research, global terrorism, children and young people’s mental health, women’s leadership, palliative care, and many more.
The Trusts and Foundations team, which currently consists of three senior fundraisers led by a Head of team, has ambitious plans to continue to build on recent growth in grant income and raise even more in the future.
With our current Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser embarking on a one-year internal secondment, we are now advertising this opportunity to join the team for a 12 month fixed term contract. The postholder will manage an extensive list of existing, high-value foundation relationships – stewarding existing major grants as well as new grant applications already in the pipeline. In addition to managing this pool the postholder will also have new business responsibilities – establishing connections with new prospects and projects across King’s and King’s Health Partners.
This role represents an excellent chance to join the team at a critical moment in our growth. You will be given autonomy to establish the best ways of approaching a portfolio of funding opportunities, while also benefitting from management and guidance from an experienced team of T&F fundraising specialists. You will be working on grants primarily ranging from £20,000-£100,000, with support from internal teams dedicated to prospect research, project planning, and donor stewardship. The role is a great chance for candidates with some grant fundraising experience who are looking to take the next step in their career towards more senior fundraising roles.
This post will be offered on an fixed term contract.
