The Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Science (MAPS) seeks an Enterprise Coordinator to provide operational support for enterprise activities across the Faculty. This will be a key role as the post holder will be the primary point of contact for staff interested in enterprise activities and will support the Vice-Dean (Enterprise) in promoting and facilitating enterprise opportunities.
This will include: identifying and supporting key relationships with UCL staff and corporate partners disseminating information on enterprise and KE opportunities, including available funding; project-managing the publicity and showcasing of enterprise activities; facilitating Faculty enterprise meetings; and relevant reporting to the MAPS Faculty Leadership Team and other internal bodies.
The role requires the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, to communicate effectively and build relationships with people at different levels within the organisation and in industry, a professional attitude, flexibility, initiative and a commitment to professional development. The appointment is funded for two years in the first instance.
The post holder will have knowledge and understanding of university Knowledge Exchange and Innovation and Enterprise, experience of project management, event organisation and of communicating with a range of stakeholders from academia and commerce. They will be educated to degree level in a subject relevant to the Faculty or have vocational/commercial knowledge and experience of working in this area. Able to work on their own initiative and with an appropriate measure of independence; an excellent communicator, skilled in liaison at all levels; have excellent skills in office IT systems, including email, and MS Office applications such as Excel; a high standard of literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to present and interpret figures and statistics; be self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
