We are looking for a Research Assistant in Critical Literacies and Data Ethics (Technology Transition and Ethnography) to work as part of the Resilience in The New Real Research Team.
This is a part-time role (one day per week – 0.2 FTE) on a fixed-term basis until 31st October 2022.
The post holder will conduct research on scaffolding critical literacies in data-driven hybrid/online experiences, based on the development of Phase 2 of AWEN digital mobile experience and support other strands of research within the Resilience in the New Real project.
The post holder will support and work closely with the research, project management and creative production teams to conduct in-depth literature survey and ethnographic research on integrating technology into a mobile digital experience and its legibility, transparency, accessibility and inclusivity and deploy and investigate frameworks to account for acceptance, trust and impact/change factors.
The post will be part of the Resilience in The New Real Research Team working with Principal Investigator Drew Hemment, Co-Investigators Ewa Luger, Vaishak Belle, and Robin Hill as well as industry researchers, artists and partners.
The post holder should have experience of working with external stakeholders in a professional manner, be able to work independently and to take responsibility for organising activities and managing allocated resources.
The post holder should have a Masters Degree in relevant subject or equivalent degree in product/interaction design or a related area.
