We are recruiting an Institute grade 6 core laboratory support technician. Your primary role function will be to undertake core technical support activities such as health and safety support, housekeeping, management of the day-to-day management of multi-user laboratories/facilities, maintaining shared equipment, and training of researchers and students. It is important to note, this is not a 100% direct research support technical role.

Occasionally, you will be asked to support other departments and buildings within the institute, as required. An example would be assisting with the setup and preparation of practicals in the School of Life Sciences or covering for absences in other areas.
A flexible approach to working is essential. You must have the knowledge and practical experience in two or more of the biological technical areas (i.e. Biological Sciences, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology).
