The Board of Electors to the the GlaxoSmithKline Professorship of Microbial Pathogenesis invite applications for this Professorship from persons whose work falls within the general field of the Professorship, to take up appointment as soon as possible, on a date to be agreed with the Board of Electors.
Candidates will have an outstanding research record of international stature in microbial pathogenesis and the vision, leadership, experience and enthusiasm to build on current strengths in maintaining and developing a leading research presence. They will hold a PhD or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
Standard professorial duties include teaching and research, examining, supervision and administration. The Professor will be based at the new Cambridge Institute of Therapeutic Immunology and Infectious Disease (CITIID) on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. A competitive salary will be offered.
