JOB OVERVIEW

The Registry & Operations Officer (Assessment) is a key role within the Registry & Operations Team, supporting with administrative aspects of assessments and examinations and ensuring assessments are carried out in accordance with ISC and University rules and regulations, including the organisation and running of exams, and the capture, verification, publication and reporting of results.

In addition, the post holder will also assist with the planning and implementation of induction and other events, assist with activities in relation to the registry, visa and compliance requirements provide support on the Student Support Helpdesk and assist the Student Experience Team as required. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assist with the preparation and publication of exam and invigilation timetables
  • To support with arranging relevant assessments and exams for students, including resits and retakes
  • To assist in booking suitable rooms for assessment and arrange exam set
  • To prepare assessments packs, produce seating plans and labels
  • To collate assessment submission and arrange script distribution, entering assessment and examination results as required
  • To collate and prepare assessments for external examination
  • To ensure the security, collation, distribution, collection and archiving of assessments, examination scripts and documentation
  • To support with arranging secure printing and storage of exam papers
  • To support with special arrangements for students with identified needs
  • To assist with the liaison with the Student Data Team regarding assessment screens and databases
  • To assist with the preparation and production of reports for Boards and Committees
  • To provide administrative support to Boards and Committees, ensuring accurate minutes are taken and agreed actions implemented
  • To assist with managing the assessment inbox, producing student correspondence and ensuring all assessment-related enquires are answered appropriately and in a timely manner
  • To assist with set up of Progresso assessment screens
  • Recording and processing of personal circumstances and extension requests
  • To liaise with the Student Progression Team regarding student assessments and progression
  • To assist with all other administration tasks in relation to assessment, as requested and within the scope and grading of the post.
  • To provide student-facing advice and support at the Student Services Helpdesk
  • To assist with producing and maintaining detailed process guides on assessment processes
  • To provide support at meetings as required, producing agendas and minutes
  • To assist with registration, induction and arrivals, which will include evening and weekend work during these periods
  • To ensure noticeboards are updated regularly
  • To promote and safeguard the welfare of students, with particular regard for under 18’s
  • To assist with the collection of outstanding student fees and processing of student refunds
  • To assist activities in relation to visa and compliance requirements

EXPERIENCE

  • Level 3 qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience of working in administration (Essential)
  • Experience in working with database systems (Essential)
  • Experience of working with students in an education environment (Desirable)
  • Exams and assessment experience (Desirable)
