Are you ready for a change? Would you like to gain experience in clinical research? Why not come and join the team that have been working on the rapid clinical development of vaccines against COVID-19 disease at the Oxford Vaccine Group?
The Oxford Vaccine Group (OVG) are seeking enthusiastic Nurses to join the Paediatric Research Nurse Team, all training is provided so no experience in research is necessary.
The role is essential to the management and delivery of the research studies.  You will visit participants and their family at their home to discuss the study, obtain blood or swab samples, and administer study and routine vaccines. Venepuncture and immunisation training will be provided. Applicants should have good communication and organisational skills with good attention to detail. This role would include some weekend and evening working.
OVG conducts world-leading research into creating new and optimising existing vaccines for children and adults. Our research has led to the much-anticipated introduction of the Meningitis B vaccine for babies into the UK vaccination schedule, but also focuses on global health. Currently there is much research into prevention of RSV.
Initially 12 months fixed term contract (37.5 hr week), extension likely but it is subject to external funding available.
To discuss the post in more detail please contact a Senior Research Nurse on 01865 611400.
Only applications received before 12.00 midday on 26 October 2021 will be considered. Interviews will be held shortly after.
