A vacancy exists for a Planning Accountant (Capital) within the Finance and Procurement section which is part of the University’s Professional Services. The post holder will be responsible for providing support to Directorates for capital projects within the University, in the provision of a full Financial Planning and Budgeting service and to facilitate effective financial management and control. 

You will be degree qualified, and either a finals level exam qualified accountant or a qualified accountant. You will have at least four years’ experience in management accounting including Financial Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, including experience of capital accounting. You will have the necessary skills to work with minimum supervision while making an effective contribution to the finance team supporting the Directorates. Excellent communication skills are essential as the role involves liaison with all levels of University staff and external bodies. 

Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 scale (£34,304- £40,927 per annum), with placement according to qualifications and experience.
